Quinoa grows naturally high in the mountains of Peru and Bolivia. Quinoa is considered to be a highly nutritional food, a healthy source of proteins, unsaturated fatty acids and minerals. There are 4 varieties of quinoa: white, red, black, and tricolor. Each has a particular flavor and aroma. Quinoa is vegetarian and vegan-friendly, kosher certified, gluten-free, and processed in in an allergen free facility.
Once the grain is dry and clean it is transported to be processed into quinoa. This means that impurities and saponins (substance that give quinoa a bitter taste) are separated to leave the grain completely clean and with humidity lower than 12.5%. Then, it is classified and packaged for storage and distribution
